Caterpillar
Built for it
The Lantern Festival is a 2000-year-old tradition. But in remote parts of China where electricity is limited, it’s virtually impossible for some villages to take part in the celebration. We helped the village of Yuhu, in the shadow of the Himalayas, hold their biggest and brightest Lantern Festival ever with 7.5 miles of wiring, 252,000 watts of electricity and 8,840 lanterns—all powered by a single, CAT electric generator. The video received over 2 million views on Chinese social media in a single weekend.
Driving Range. To prove the maneuverability of Caterpillar’s heavy-duty trucks, we invited LPGA pro golfers and identical twins, Erimo and Marimo Ikeuchi, to the CAT testing facility in Tinaja, Arizona to play a round on the world's first moving golf course.
Tug of War. The video pits strongman and actor Hafthor "Thor" Bjornsson—whom you may recognize Game of Thrones—against a Cat D10T Dozer in an epic tug of war.
